DANNY SHARRON (he/him) is a Brooklyn-based theater director with a focus on developing new plays and musicals, dedicated to elevating the stories of the LGBTQ+ and Middle Eastern communities. This fall, he will be directing the world premiere of Ryan J. Haddad's Good Time Charlie at The Public Theater. He most recently directed the world premiere of Hold Me in the Water by Haddad at Playwrights Horizons. It received Lortel & Drama Desk nominations for Outstanding Solo Show, and will have its West Coast Premiere at Berkeley Rep in Spring 2027. For five years, Danny was the Senior Associate Director on Dear Evan Hansen (Tony Award for Best Musical), overseeing four companies: Broadway, West End, Toronto, and the U.S. National Tour. He was also the US Associate Director on the most recent Broadway revival of Cabaret. Danny has developed and directed work with The Public Theater, New York Theatre Workshop, Roundabout Theatre Company, Playwrights Horizons, Manhattan Theatre Club, Berkeley Repertory Theatre, Williamstown Theatre Festival, Woolly Mammoth, Denver Center, Miami New Drama, Ars Nova, LAByrinth Theater Company, Primary Stages, Ma-Yi, and New York Stage & Film. He was a 2024-2025 TV/Film Directing Fellow with The Drama League. He is also a recipient of New York Theatre Workshop's 2050 Fellowship, Williamstown's Bill Foeller Fellowship, and The Drama League's New York Fellowship and Next Stage Directing Residency. He is an alumnus of the Ars Nova Director's Troupe and is a NYTW Usual Suspect. Proud husband, father, and SDC member.
